Marker Kingpin vs dynafit beast

Thread Starter

Hello,

I am thinking about making a AT setup and put it on Salomon Q 115 ski (until I'll figure out if I like it on not).

Originally, I though about Salomon/Atomic Guardian 13, but read a lot of reviews about how heavy are they, and still don't like any pre-releases; I came to evaluation of the Kingpin vs beast.

What is the difference in terms of reliability for these bindings?

I think I could buy beast for about $270, where kingpin is much more $$$.

what are the issues with either one?

thank you

Strongly suggest you check Teton Gravity Forums, they have nearly endless threads on both, lots of comparison.

Beast requires some boot mods.  I have the Kingpins; I like them better than the two frame bindings I've had (Marker Barons and Fritschi Freeride Pros) and for lifte served better than my Dynafits.  Also check out wildsnow.com for their reviews.  I got my Kingpins for ca $325.
