I sweat when I work out, a lot, in fact it might be my super power. I know we all sweat when we work out, but I seem to start sweat with relatively little exertion. And to be blunt, once I start to seat it pours off me, especially from my head and chest. It's not a problem working out in the privacy of home, and evaporates very quickly hiking, golfing and skating in Arizona's arid heat. When I train in martial arts it's even considered manly and a sign of hard work, but when I ski, it's a problem.
Cruising groomers isn't an issue, but on the steeps, bumps and trees I seem to heat up very quickly and start to sweat. I try to dress as light as I can with synthetics and wools in layers, no cotton. But once I start to sweat the ride up is miserably cold as I cool down with evaporation. I have tried dressing lighter, but it's still an issue. My outer garments are Gortex shells with very high breathability ratings. When I wear a helmet, I keep the vents open. The biggest issue is fogging goggles. I sometimes go through three or four pairs of goggles a day. When possible I also open the vents in my pants and jacket, and even pull the zipper down to try to let some of the moisture escape. I'm not sure if it's due to the sweat or not, but items in my pockets get pretty damp as well.
Sorry, I know it's kind of disgusting, but, I'll take any help available. Clothing, layers, brands, exercise, diet, supplements, input, output, remedies, tactics. Does anyone else suffer with this and has found a solution?
Just for the record. I have seen a Dr who assures me this is not a health problem, and not that unusual. In fact he considers it a sign of good health. I am fairly healthy/fit and work out several times week in different modalities. Height and weight appropriate, no medical issues other than OA in the joints from prior injuries.
