#2 access

#2 snow

#2 lifts

#2 families

#2 dining

#2 lodging

#3 Apres

And now nothing?  Bad form SKI

#2 access -- To Buffalo - hardly represents the East population centers. It is 6 hours from NYC, 6 hours from Philly, 8 hours from Boston and even 4 hours from Toronto

#2 snow -- Over Jay, Stowe, Smuggs, Sugarbush, MRG, Killington, Okemo, Bromley, Stratton, Burke, most of Quebec and Maine and probably most of NH?????- silly

#2 lifts -- Come on now - It doesn't even have the best lifts in NYS - multiple 500' vertical chair lifts only rank you #2 west of Seneca Lake in NYS - behind Bristol.

Stuffing the ballot box does not change the fact that the terrain is a short bore. The place is a Midwestern ski area that happens to be in western NY.  If you were 1 hour from HV and 2 hours from any eastern ski area with 1100' or more vertical, you would never go to HV.

Hidden Valley and Seven Springs are good at what they are, but that does not mean they are anywhere near the top 20 ski areas in the East.

Ski just corrected the ridiculous placement of HV in the Eastern top 20. It is SKI magazine, not Dining at Ski Resort Magazine or Lodging at Ski Resort Magazine.

This could be funniest post of the year.

They apparently weren't open until the 20th. On which day, they had four runs open.

I just read the issue in the local library. Besides the shortcomings in the rankings themselves, the font and background colors in a lot of the boxes made the article difficult to read for my old eyes. Not impressed.
