Yes I have done a search.
At 68, 69 when the snow hits I feel the need to get back to racing with our club on our 300 foot vertical hill. Used to run Nastar and get a gold every time around 20 years ago. Attended the Billy Kid race camp 5 times and never was a great racer. Ran a Nastar last year on my Kendo 177 and couldn't get a medal. Ran a club slalom on my Kendos and you don't want to know. I am a groomer speed freak level 7 or 8.
What has changed"
Increased my anglelation last year and have a better edge. Changed my equipment. Bought Atomic FIS 158 for slalom, Bought Head Rebel I speed GS 180 for Nastar and GS. Bought a Head Rebel SL 170 for free skiing and it might work for the GS on our hill.
I will have a lesson every Wednesday for 3 hours and we will race Saturdays and Sundays. I probably will buy some individual race lessons.
I also bought full face helmets with guard for slalom and one for GS. (FIS Vola $99 closeouts)
Do I need a GS suit. I have a tight Spyder Sweater with a sewn in wind panel. (no padding) Would that and some tight pants work in place of a suit. I don't want to wear a suit but I will if I have to for time.
I doubt I will be hitting any gates soon but I learn fast and I do not want to be injured, Should I buy pole guards for my hands, or any protective equipment?
I am in very good shape, can go 3 hours on the tennis court in 100 degree heat, (doubles) not trying to brag, just letting you know where I am at. Lifting weights, tennis 3 times a week and a spinning class once in a while along with meditation and a mostly very healthily diet.
I am very competitive, (can you tell?)
Its just an old man on a small hill, right!
Thanks for your help
