Killington World Cup Spectator Questions

Thread Starter

So, I plan to head up to Killington in Nov. see the women's World Cup GS and Slalom races with my daughter.

I used to go to Watervillel Valley to see the WC races all the time when I was a kid in the 80's (The Mahre bros., Tamara McKinney etc.)  it was awesome to watch and I'm happy we're getting it here again.

On K's website they map out the free spectator areas and the paid grandstands but there isn't too much other info.

2 Questions for the community:

1)  All grandstand tix are sold out...wondering if there are any tickets to be had through another venue or if anyone thinks they'll ever show up on StubHub or someplace like that?

2)  Back in the day at WV we used to be able to ski down and find a spot on the side of the course....wondering if they'll do the same for these races?

Anyone "in the know" up at Killington have any details or information they could share?

Thanks!

Nobody probably knows, since this is the first time Kton has had this race.

It was the Aspen's race, but since they are holding the finals in March, they didn't want two.

Back in the day, you used to be able to ride up 1A in Aspen, ski down and watch the race.

Now 1A is closed to guest and it's very hard to get close to the fence, because most of the slopes near the course are closed.

My guess at Killington, there won't be any skiing near the venue.

If you want to get close, volunteer. They'll need tons of those.
