Winter Park in March

Hey Winter Park folks.  What kind of crowds can I expect the week of March 12?  Basically that's the 2nd full week of March.

All things being equal (ie, normal snow and weather conditions), you can expect it to be crowded, but no more so than other medium to large resorts close to the Colorado front range (Vail, Copper, Breck, Keystone, etc.).  Your timing is probably near the tail end of spring break for a lot of places, so that creates big crowds, but before front range skiers start tailing off and doing other stuff.

Thanks.  I was curious.  We're coming from the Missouri and our spring break for my kids is earlier than many schools in the Midwest.  Most have theirs the 3rd week or even last week of March.

Spring breaks are usually spread out from early March to late April, especially when you also consider college holiday schedules.  Last year the conclusion from this thread was that crowds during "spring break" are a regional issues.  For instance, if going to places within driving distance of Texas or California or Denver then should take the local school schedule into account.

We've ski WP/MJ every year at that time for the past 3 or 4 seasons.  Some years have been more crowded that others.  It's never too hard to find clean areas on the mountain, particularly on Mary Jane, but the lodges, rentals, and restaurants can get busy.  Just time your meals.  I've never waited that long at the lifts.

It's a great time of year to be there.  We've always had fantastic conditions.

Thanks.  I've been to the Summit Copper and Keystone during that time and found them to be pretty busy but not crazy I had assumed WP would be similar and I'm there are many other factors that contribute or take away from the business.
