Mt. Bachelor buiding new chairlift will open many more acres.

This may not be super new news, but the chair is going in and should be ready for this season by sometime late December.

Here I will post a video from myself and one from someone else.  Edit:  BTW don't miss going inside a lift tower tube in my video.  It's fun!

Thanks for the videos.  Good to see progress being made.  I mentioned the new lift back in April in the 2015-16 PacNW thread.  Guess it may be time to start a new thread for 2016-17.

Very nice!  I'll have to check that thread out.  I'm out for the time now.  Thanks!

No one has started the one for 2016-17 yet.  The full list of links for annual regional threads is at the top of Resorts.

Thanks man.  I did find the thread in question.   Ha ha, I even found a photo of my wife and I from the tailgate contest.  Be good now!

The local TV station did a video about the lift installation.  The new terrain is going to make Bachelor on of the top ten ski areas in terms of acreage.

More news on the news.  It was after this I went up twice to try to get the chopper in action.  As you saw I had no luck with that.

Thanks for the addition to this story!

Coming soon to a Mt. Near you!

Flat, no I wouldn't say that!  Gonna' be super fun over there.  Some of the best powder over there!  Don't tell anybody that though!

Ok it's rolling hills. Just like Fly Creek. Might as well move the Nordic center over there. I guess you could catch the dog sled back to Rainbow. Besides I don't see you outin the trees much. I won't tell anyone. Hahahaha. Just yanking your chain Jacques. Heard NOAA recalled the big Winter, downgraded to an average one. Whatever that means, nothing. I predict a good snowfall for Nov.Good day.

Actually I've gotten much better with my powder skills and have been doing tree turns.  I don't go fast in tress though, I just cruise it.  What has really helped me to do better has been the newer all mt. Solomon Q-98's I won from the contest.  I had gotten some Armada JJ's prior and they floated good, but I never liked all the rocker in the tails.  They are fun on the groomers though and great for sliding sideways over rougher groom as they are quite fat.

I will be stoked over there.  Always like I-5, but hated riding Rainbow!  Take care!

That would be awesome.  I might be able to learn better.  I have my hop down better, yet at times still found myself off center on steeper terrain.  I still get a bit scared to charge a bit when that's the thing to do while still feeling in control as not to hit a tree.  I don't want to do a Sonny Bono!
