Bulletproof your body for the season: alternate either leg lead & 'floss' into & back from the above posture. Fight for that range & keep an engaged core.

Can do with a band, yet more thinking an oscillating 'back & forth'. Thanks for asking!

Finding more space in those hips. Engage the core, slowly bring the leg up & at the end of range tighten the glutes. Don't overarch or hyper extend the lower back. Repeat on the other leg.
