Best Tape To "Repair" For Cold Weather

I'm looking to repair some cracks on plastic gear. The cracks came around from getting beat around from one crash or another. One on my goggles and one on the bash guards on my slalom poles.

My plan right now is to use some roofing sealant (to deal with cold temperatures) in the crack to make the gap flush, and then cover with a fine strip of tape to help protect the seal.

Are there any suggestions as to tape (Gorilla Tape, Duck Tape, Stick A** Tape, 3M All-Weather) that can hold well in colder conditions? Or does it really even matter as long as they are applied at reasonably warm temperatures to let the adhesive work?

I used Gorilla to hold together a cracked valance on the front bumper of an Audi S8 for almost a year before I found a used replacement for the valance.

I've used "Five Second Fix" stuff from Walmart to actually repair some plastic parts on a knitting machine.

For the goggles use the tape sold to repair plastic greenhouses.

Thanks for the suggestions! I guess I'll start getting things all together for the season!
