Kastle: year of manufacture

I just bought a pair of used Kastle's (MX88 178's) that were used rentals.  I'm wondering how to identify the year they were made?  There is a number on the sidewall, 1002016.  Am I correct in assuming they were made for the 2015-2016 season?

I feel like I got a really good deal on these.  $309, and bindings were included.  They are in amazingly good shape.  No gouges on the bottom.  Just one tiny chip.

Go to Google Image, look up Kastle MX88 2016, and see what those look like.

If they don't match, try 2015, etc., until you find what you have.

$309 is an excellent price.  Kastle topsheets are known to chip easily.

Tried that but 2015 and 2016 look identical.

OH, I see your problem.  2015 and 2016 both look like your skis.  Doh!

I found this below at http://alpine176.rssing.com/chan-12264723/all_p2.html

It doesn't list your skis, but it does list model numbers for new stock.

Note that the date it was posted was Aug 2015, but the new stock it's referencing is all labelled 2016.

That could be the case with your skis too.

Is the the industry's habit, labeling things a year in the future?

In any event, you got a very very nice deal there.
