Total Skiing: Success stories?

Hi folks,

In preparation for hopefully doing the level 3 exam in Andorra this December, I'm trying hard to motivate myself to get in shape. I did the assessment in Total Skiing last night, which was highly insightful and called out several areas of development that I'm now exploring.

My question is this: what are your experiences with the Total Skiing plan? Have you seen big changes in your skiing through following the plan in the off-season? Are there any sports training professionals who follow this model (e.g. physiotherapists, kinesiologists)?

I'm not an exercise scientist of any sort, but I do think it's a pretty good breakdown. I can't imagine a bit of harm coming from following C.F.'s advice. IMHO, a lot of folks don't make it to L3 because they just don't have a balanced fitness package coming to the hill. In the end, L3 is an athletic endeavor. Showing up at the hill in November 20-30lbs overweight and out of shape puts most irrecoverably behind the eight ball. Good on you for getting on this... and yes, IMHO, August is about as late in the game as one can hope and still expect meaningful improvement.
