Professional skier Matilda Rapaport has died at the age of 30 following injuries sustained when she was caught in an avalanche during the filming of promotional material for upcoming Ubisoft winter sports game, Steep.
During a video production in Chile on Thursday, July 14th, Matilda was caught in an avalanche. Despite the medical care and treatment over the subsequent days, it was not possible to save her life.
Rapaport was transported to hospital following the accident near Farellones in the Andes but died there as a result of her injuries. Her sponsor, Red Bull, has confirmed the tragedy.
