Cheater GS Skis [high school racer in Wisconsin]

Hi everyone! I'm looking for a good pair of gs skis for next season. I race high school here in n Wisconsin. Our hills here are only a couple hundred vertical feet so gates are pretty close together. This is my second year racing and I really need to get a solid gs ski instead of a old all mountain/gs ski. Im 5 11 and 150 lbs so not a big guy. I'm not gonna really be growing that much so that's not and issue. I don't need to meet FIS or USSA standards. I'm a very experienced skier as Ive skied since I was 3 but new to the whole racing scene. Im leaning towards a pair of cheater skis as a light inexperienced racing who doesn't care about FIS. What are some of the best cheater gs skis with a radius under 20 m preferably? Also what kind of length would be good too. Thanks!

Also I would of loved to ask my coach but we are getting a new coach so that's not an option. All the good kids on my team race FIS so they can't help me out with any non FIS skis.

Why a cheater? Look into tweener FIS GS 170-185 cm with radius 19-23 metres. You will probably be able to get them as cheap (or cheaper than) as adult cheaters. All brands make them and your best bet is to look at local race clubs ski swaps. Ask you FIS buddies. They are basically softer and shorter versions of the adult FIS race ski.

and @5 11" 150 lbs you should probably be looking for the longest ones -- 185ish cm depending on brand.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for cheater skis or tweener skis?

I think you are too heavy for tweener skis.  Try Fischer Worldcup RC.

The Fischer WC RC look good for my needs Im also looking at the volkl Race tiger Speedwall GS UVO. The non fis ones and they seem to be good too. I know the uvo doesn't work but does anyone have feedback on those?

Also consider Head Worldcup Rebels i. Speed.

No tweener skis for you. All of the non-FIS GS skis are pretty great. At your weight, look at a Rossi Hero LT, the Volkl mentioned, the atomic offering, and the Head Rebel iSpeed. I don't know that there's a huge need to ski longer than a 180 given your weight, venue, and course sets.

Awesome thanks! I was hearing a lot about the atomic d2 gs in 179 but I can't seem to find them anywhere.

As an example Rossignol Race Department reccomends their FIS R21 182 for 150 lbs U16 FIS racers. I find it hard to believe that a 150 lbs high school racer with no previous race training will over power them or a similar model from other brands.

edit. For clarification, the mentioned ski IS what's reffered to as a tweener
