In early June, I got together with two of my climbing friends and we ventured into the depths of the Lost River Range in Idaho for a snow climb / ski descent of one of Idaho's 12'ers. Mt Church is usually climbed from the west side, but we opted for the NE approach and the classic ramps for what we hoped would be a great ski descent, (two of us were skiing, and the other was just climbing as he trains for Mt. Rainer). We were looking for "corn", but instead we had "mashed taters". I guess that is what we get for living in Idaho.
The video documents the ski descent and the less than stellar conditions. No powder shots here, but sometimes you just take what you get.
