Mt Hood Summer Ski Camp - worth it?

I'm visiting the in-laws the week of July 4th in Hood River. Lucky me, there's a ski camp with MHSSC that starts and ends on my arrival and departure dates.

Has anybody participated in the adult mogul or freestyle camps? Is it worth it? The cost seems reasonable for 5 days of on the snow coaching.

The alternatives aren't that bad either - spend the mornings hiking, kite boarding, biking, et .

I'm conflicted! The wife already approved, but she would love if I spend the time with the family too. We don't get out to Hood River during the summer very often - mostly winter visits.

If I register for the camp, is there enough time left in the day to do more awesome stuff?

Basically, I just need somebody to push me over the edge, give positive feedback, and tell me it's a good idea!

Forget the camp.  It may be fantastic, but if you ditch the in-laws to go skiing in the summer and you're staying in Hood River you will:

1.  Miss all of the very cool stuff that the region offers that you don't get to experience since you don't usually visit in the summer.

and

2.  No matter what the wife says, leaving her with her parents every day will lose you so many points you'll take months, maybe even years to live it down.
