Making a Two Skii Quiver: Praxis MVP vs. Fischer Big Stix 110 vs. Fischer Ranger 108 Ti

Hi!

Looking for a wide (105mm+) all mountain ski that still carves to complete my two ski quiver.

Me 56 year old dad (5'-9"/190lb) intermediate skier that was fortunate to ski 40 days in the Sierras this season chasing my 8 year old daughter that was a first year U10 racer.

Primary skis are a set of 168cm Skilogik Front burners. Really happy with these skis except the chronic problem of chipping side walls /top sheets.

Looking  for a second set of skis to accommodate deep fresh snow that can still carve on the groomers.

Skis that interest me are:

-173cm Praixs MVPs

-176cm Fischer Big Stix 110s

-174cm Fischer Ranger 108 Tis

As I said I am looking for a ski that works well in fresh unpacked snow and will still carve on the groomers.

Thanks for your help,

StoicBV

The Big Stix and the Rangers will be too short to work well for someone your size in fresh unpacked snow.   I've never skied the Praxis  so couldn't say.

i agree, i'm in the 190 lb range  - and had to move up to 185's for my powder skis after a year of being under gunned on 178's-  i do ski Alta with alot of deep fresh stuff however.
