The winners view of the finish line in San Diego.

We got to see the finish of stage 1 from the 300m marker. Those guys are fast! No idea who won it in real time.

Sagan is incredible. Watching the replay was amazing.

Fun party atmosphere. A good race to follow.

Not only is Sagan incredible he is also an extremely approachable character.  Pretty nice guy to the fans.

What happened to Sagan on day 3? He was over 20 min. behind the leaders. I have some of it on DVR, but may not have time to watch as I plan to be at the finish today at Laguna Seca.

I think he knows that Gibraltor was to hard of a stage to stay with the pure climbers thus effectively eliminating him for the overall. He was conserving his energy for possible later stage wins.

I wonder what the time cut off was and did anybody get eliminated??

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Great finish and win by Sagan today.
Decent size crowd at Laguna Seca. These are not the winners.
Will be adding pictures from my camera in my next post, but they also could have some spoilers.

More pictures from the finish at Laguna Seca. I'm not going to hide who won as it's on their website and has been on TV.

The day's winner must have been leading at this point and is in a tuck as they are at bottom of the downhill after the Corkscrew.

Sagan leading at beginning of final straight, but still had some work to do

He held off the challengers and won

Mark Cavendish got the Breakaway from Cancer® Most Courageous Rider Jersey for his part in a breakaway about an hour into the day's race.

Another spectator got a selfie with Sagan when he jumped over barrier. I expected him to go around it to where I was.

Yellow jersey still held by Julian Alaphilippe (FRA) who got the same time as Sagan

Thursday's race begins at near sea level in Lodi, goes up CA-88 past Kirkwood and over 8,600' Carson Pass, then .7740' Luther Pass before finishing at Heavenly's CA base.

Apparently Sagan was up here in Tahoe training earlier this month. My neighbor happened to catch this photo of him at the end of our street.

We are heading up to Emerald bay to watch the women this morning & then maybe head to the finish for the men this afternoon.
