What Waist Width and Ski Length?

Thread Starter

Hi. I'm about 5'5" and still growing. I'm an advanced intermediate but I have heard conflicting information on what size waist width and ski size I actually need. Next season I actually hope to ski more (I live in NE and its a pain to drive to Sugarloaf) and improve my skills. What's my ski size and waist width? Pls help.

I suggest, something about 163cm long and low 80's waist. You can improve at any hill, you just have to want it. Take lessons and practice.

East coast skier I'd go narrow, much easier to develop skill on a ski in the 70's. Get a carving ski. I agree re the length.

Welcome to EpicSki!  Have you owned skis before?  If not, what length skis were you renting?
