Hi all. New to this forum, and have read some threads on getting a warning followed by pulled pass at various resorts. Wanted to learn if Vail Corp and Breck in particular has any formal policies on how they maintain their warning log. Question stems from a warning my son received after a clear violation of a NO JUMPING sign at Breck over Easter weekend. All captured on his GoPro, so while I was just in front of him and hence missed the infraction in real time, I saw it all on video:
Great lesson learned; he was remorseful and isn't some little juvie, so I don't expect another infraction, but am curious to know how Vail Corp consolidates this info. Do they maintain an infractions database so that if we are at Park City or wherever next season and he does something stupid, then he is a repeat offender? Or is slate wiped clean each season? Or does it not even carry over from one resort to another? Thanks for any insight.
Since there seems to be such a wide variety of opinion on how Breck polices their slopes, AND we have the benefit of video evidence instead of only one side of the story, I've included a poll.
