Heat molding for Salmon X pro boots - both shell and liner

Thread Starter

Hi,

I recently bought a pair of Salomon x pro boots where both the shell and liner are heat moldable.  And I have several questions:

1) should both the shell and liner heat up and put on to mold together, or should be done one at a time?  Say, do the liner first, then do the shell?  or reverse order?

2) I think I will do the liner for sure, but for the shell, is it recommended to do it always, or do it only if something is uncomfortable?  Or should I do the liner first, then ski a couple runs, then do the shell?

Thanks.

you can heat up ANY liner and ANY shell

heating them up CAN solve some problems (and can cause some problems too)

just go ski them, see what happens, and try to solve problems WHEN/IF you have them
