Black Powder Run at Steamboat.

Hi Folks. Is anyone familiar with Black Powder run in the Morningside area at Steamboat? On the trail map it is not clear where the run goes. Does it re-join the Sunshine area somewhere? I have never taken this run as did not want to take a chance on a long hike to get back inbounds.

Looking at Hillmap, the run appears to start down from the top of Sunshine express, loop around, and rejoin with Tomahawk to the bottom of Sunshine. Here's the path trace :

Yeah... that blue thing on the map isn't a lake, it's a wormhole.

Actually, the runout goes by "Beaver Creek".  Look at bottom left corner of the map!

This was discussed at some length a few years ago. So there's a thread somewhere.

All I can say is that the wife and I dropped off the back of Sunshine one day, probably between Hotcakes and Black Powder, and had a bit of a slog to get to the morning side lift.
