A few years ago when I was looking at relocating to MT, there were quite a few neighbourly folks in the community forums here willing to share an insider's perspective about the areas I was looking at. Now another opportunity has come up in CA, near a place I might missed blinking on the way to Lake Tahoe once called Sonora. Although frankly I don't think Tahoe / Heavenly in the cards if I took up residence there .... more likely I'd be skiing someplace like Bear Valley, although the Kirkwood Pass without the restrictions might be an option for me.

I'm wondering if anybody with a connection to Sonora that might be able to shed some light by personal experience on what it would be like to live there. Economy. Schools. Healthcare. Real estate. That kinds of stuff ... plus obviously skiing.

Thanks in advance!
