New skis lines on bases

A buddy of mine just got a pair of new Fischer Ranger 88 Ti. The diagonal line you see below on the bases can be felt by one's fingers on both skis. If almost feels like the bases are two pieces. I've never seen this on new skis before. The bindings have not been mounted yet. Is this an issue? Thanks!

The bases are made of 2 pieces each, the pieces die cut to fit against each other.

Fitting together die cut pieces into a base is a very common construction technique, used by several manufacturers,  and is often used to put logos into  bases.    Fischer also use the technique to make XCD skis, the climbing scales are on an inset section.

It is not an issue and will probably disappear as you tune the ski.
