Planning to ski interior BC next winter..

Would like to ski Revy, Big white , maybe Red mountain..

Maybe stay in between...

Willing for input on how to do this type of trip as well..

My though on this would be fly to Kelowna , Rent a car and day trip where ever the snow might be..

Ideas ?

Thanks

With a vehicle its very easy to hit multiple areas on a trip in BC.

Only variables are type of skiing you prefer, daily conditions and how long you have to do it

I prefer to drive to next stop after skiing and stay closer to next hill.

Finding a place to stay in our interior ski towns is not a problem.

There are a few exceptions to that but only on Friday or Saturday nights.

If you prefer staying in one town and day tripping try Golden, under 2hr to Revelstoke, Panorama Sunshine and Lake Louise. Kicking Horse is the local hill.

From Kelowna Big White Apex Silver Star and just a bit longer drive to Sun Peaks or Revelstoke

Red is farther from either.

Rent mini van.  drive to snow.  There is absolutely no reason to stay in one place.

With the internet, finding accommodations last minute is easy.

Things are really spread out around B.C. and if you don't move your base from time to time you'll not be able to reach much of what you want to ski.  Red is especially a long way away from the others you mentioned.

If you're stuck with only one place I would pick Vernon.  It's right next to Silver Star, an hour or so from Big White in one direction, and around two hours from Revelstoke and Sun Peaks the other way.

There is no skiing in Golden as it is the town that is 5 minutes drive from Kicking Horse, so this is just one pick, not picks.

Depending on how long the OP plans on staying in Western Canada, a season pass purchased in the Spring will be the cheapest price all year and will give the OP 25% off day tickets at many of the other mountains in Western Canada. Whistler, Lake Louise, Sunshine Village, Kicking Horse, Fernie and Kimberley do not participate in the Western Canada Reciprocal agreement but the latter 3 have their own deal. Sun Peaks is part of the Western Canada Reciprocal 25% off deal and has a separate 50% off lift tickets deal with Whistler as well.

15 minutes from Golden and the road could use some work!

Louise also has their own deal. $20 off at Red, Revelstoke, Panorama, Castle, and Schweitzer.
