Most MEMORABLE photo from 2015-2016 season

Notice the word choice here: "memorable," not "best."

Memorable, meaning that one event that stands out most in your mind (think Rorschach test for your entire season). Could be good, bad, scary, hilarious. Could be a run, a day, a person, an after-party. Just wondering what stands out after nearly another season has come and gone.

For me: Vail on a Monday morning after a fresh dump in January. Myself and a friend of a friend I'd never skied with (and really didn't know too well) got back to Blue Sky Basin around 9:30 a.m. to find it untouched. We lapped Skyline and Earl's Express for a solid hour before people started to fill in around us. Giddiness ensued. To make things even better, my new best friend absolutely shredded on his snowboard, much more so than the "friend" who bailed on me last minute to sleep off another hangover.

New ski-buds, especially ones who can hang, ones who show up on time, ones that pop for beers afterwords and never bitch about a single thing, on days like this, are especially priceless.

February at Burke Mtn in Vermont (note the sliver of green grass in the bottom left corner). Pretty much the story of this winter in the northeast.

This one is probably the most memorable.

My girlfriend and I spent New Year's at Skoki Lodge, a couple valleys back from the Lake Louise Ski Resort. We were lucky to get clear skies and mild temps (during the day at least).

We spent new year's eve skiing some untracked low angled slopes on Skoki Mountain.

GF clipped a rock and somehow ended up doing a backwards somersault. I managed to catch it on my phone!

It's not her proudest moment, but it's one of our favorite shots.

A memorable moment from a memorable trip!

I took a little gasp when I first saw this photo on my laptop during the flight home.  It’s among the most beautiful scenes (Pyramid Peak & the Maroon Bells) I’ve ever captured from a ski slope with my goofy little point and shoot camera.  MDSkier on Deception trail in Olympic Bowl at Aspen Highlands; Feb 7, 2016.

Couple honorable mentions for me:

A friend dropping into a tight chute between Great Scott and Upper Cirque at Snowbird on Mar 13, 2016, snuck in a little self portrait on this one;).

Nice portrait of Rainbow Jenny in Highland Bowl, Feb 5, 2016
