Jackson Hole shoe locker rentals?

As many times as I've been to Jackson Hole, I've never used any of the locker rentals there.  I've always had a vehicle.

I'll be there this weekend, skiing March 19 and 20, and need to use a locker for my shoes on Sunday.  I have to leave the car for the wife that day so she can check out.  I've figured out the Red line shuttle bus schedule, but I'll have to hoof it to the closest bus stop from Cowboy Village.  Where's the cheapest / easiest place to get a locker for a boot bag and street shoes?

Go to the hallway outside the rest rooms behind Guest services at the base of the tram.  Stick them under a bench.

and the lockers outside the door there are $5.

You can also get a basket in the rental area in JH Sports.  I don't know what it costs.  It's a pretty big bin that will hold a lot of stuff.

Thanks for the tips.  I'll have a boot bag as well as shoes, so I'm not leaving them under a bench.  I sorta like that boot bag.  I'll pay up to what it would cost to park at the Ranch lot (minus $3 for the bus ride).

The town is about sold out of hotel rooms this Saturday.  Concert time (Zac Brown).

Those baskets are $10/day.  They are big enough for your shoes and boot bag and other stuff.

Yesterday was one of the 5 best days, maybe 3 best, days of the season.  It snowed a bunch last night, so today will also be great!  I doubt that I'll be free to ski with you this weekend, but I would like to.  I have been very busy this year :)!

Beside the ski shop in upper level of a building across from the gondola base is an overnight ski check (pay)

Behind the ski check is FREE lockers with no locks.  At your own risk available 24/7.

Like a bonehead I left my old shoes there overnight a month ago.  They were still there the next day.

Thumbs Up

Turns out Cowboy Village had a ski shuttle from their office, so I didn't need to hoof it to the Start bus stop downtown.  No locker needed.

Other than the parking mess from the Zac Brown concert, everything was superb.  Snow was excellent on Saturday, and hadn't gotten into the melt/refreeze cycle since it stayed cold enough.

Tower 3 was just the way I like it - chalky goodness

Skiers working the Powder 8 slope

I got ambitious on Sunday, and climbed the Headwall first thing in the morning.  Not my best decision, since by Sunday the top of the mountain had refrozen.  Coming down Fremont was a skittery mess.  Doh!

I know you ended up not needing the locker but I have always left a backpack and shoes at the bottom. Either under a bench or in a corner and never once have I had a problem with my stuff being messed with. The race teams often leave their stuff at the bottom or in a restaurant on the hill. Honestly I worry more about my skis outside then I do about my gear bag in the base area.
