I know there are a lot of experienced instructors in this forum. And I used the term 'rigged' knowing I would hook you in! Sorry for the cheap move.....
I am not an instructor - but have taught dozens of instructors mogul technique. Please don't think I'm using that statement to self promote....just that I've got some time doing this sport.
No names or locations - don't want to be unfair.....but I log in via Facebook - so you can find out who I am
I'm trying to find the real story on the certification process. The back story is that my friend just failed her level three after working on it for two years. Multiple trainers had assured her that she was ready, and she wouldn't taken the test if she wasn't. This person has indicated to me that she wants to make the ski instructing a career - hence she takes it seriously. This candidate is pretty devastated, and there are angry text messages buzzing around - most calling into question the PSIA process. I'll not use the language in some of the messages.
What got me going on this was among those who passed....a ski and ride director....who worked on this cert for two weeks.
So guys - what is the story with the process? I'm just trying to understand it....
Thanks - Chris
