Pack out in an already too large boot

So, Ive been in the same boots for about 4 years, they've been too large since the day I got them (should be in a 26.5-27, the shells are 29). I have been messing around with them recently trying to get them more snug, I have butterfly spacers around my achilles which works for the toe and heel. The problem now is the top of my foot and top of the ankle. I haven't adjusted any buckles yet but I am thinking about it, might just put a wedge under my heel or raise the foot bed. Any suggestions will help!? the boots are Solomon impact 8's

You say you should be in a 26.5, what do your feet measure in centimeters?

read through the above article Do a "shell check"  to see how to determine if a boot will fit correctly.

I don't believe you will ever get those boots to work correctly---as your fore/aft balance have to be way off in them and any padding you add will only pack out over the first couple of days on snow.

In cm they measure 27cm. I am aware they will never fit perfect, I am just looking for a more snug solution, haha a jerry rig until I have the funds to buy new gear..

thanks Mike, I will give that article a look

"jerry rig"  to use something (bailing wire) to do something it was not intended to be used for, resulting in a somewhat messed up conclusion

bailing wire is for pine straw or hay:cool

buy a cheap, used boot in a 27 for $50, sell your boots used, for $50, rather then sinking more money into a sinking ship.
