ParkCity Questions - currnet condition & lift tickets

Heading to PC Tuesday. Just wondering how the conditions are given the warm temperatures.

Also, is there a big difference between buying lift tickets online and at the window? Can I buy online until the night before?

Does PC offer ski on arrival day?

It's right on the website:

http://www.parkcitymountain.com/plan-your-trip/lift-tickets/lift-tickets-explorer.aspx?Search=3/6/2016,3/6/2016,1,0,0,0

  • Within 7 days through midnight of day prior to first day on slopes receives discount from ticket window price.

You should always buy online or on your smartphone as soon as you know for sure you're going to ski.

Even if it's in the parking lot while you're booting up.   Just for the sake of it'll save you a few minutes during pickup.  If you start doing the math every minute is worth about 25cents.

Park city is a vail resort, so no specials.

It rained to the base of Snowbird today, I'm sure it was stellar way up in Park City.  ;)

BTW. PC tickets are not valid in DeerValley, correct? Or is there some setup, ski one day out of x in DeerValley?

Deer Valley is not part of Park City, nor is it in the Epic pass family.  Don't show up with a snowboard at Deer Valley.

Sunday was terrible at PC. Very windy with rain at the base. Up a little bit it was heavy wet snow. Stuff was so sticky you could barely go straight unless the pitch was steep. I stayed home. A couple friends were out - much more tolerant of crap conditions than I -and after an hour they were soaking wet and decided it sucked out there. But it was uncrowded. More very heavy wet snow Sunday night........not powder. Tuesday after a day and night to settle at least the groomers should be ok. We'll see.

Snowbasin was the same on Sunday. Rain. A GS race was cancelled.
