Anyway, the only "cons" about LL/SS is the inconvenience of getting the MCP pass in Banff. I don't know if you need to go back to the "Ski Hub" office subsequent days if you plan to ski more days? Or you can just go to LL/SS locations to get the lift ticket at 50%? (I never bothered to ask since I only planned to ski there 2 days).
I still plan to go back to LL/SS next season, I love Canadian rockies, snow condition is good, the views are indeed stunning, people are very considerate, hospitable and genuine.
I setup my MCP at Lake Louise pass office in Feb 2015 and pretty sure I was direct to lift at Sunshine Village the next day. I did not go to Ski Hub and have yet to visit the town of Banff.
Their "The Pass Pickup" tab on MCP website says "Visit the Banff Ski Hub at 119 Banff Avenue and show your purchase confirmation and photo ID any time after October 16, 2016. Alternatively, your Mountain Collective pass will also be available by presenting your documentation at the season pass office at either Sunshine Village or the Lake Louise Ski Resort."
I agree on the beauty of the Canadian Rockies and the hospitality of the people. An employee loaned me his beacon so I could ski Delirium Dive. See http://www.firsttracksonline.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11731&p=73634 for report that includes a picture of maple leaf created by snowshoe artist.
