Blizzard Brahma Size for a Woman?

Thread Starter
Howdy all- new here and hoping for some experienced advice.
I am a 5'7" 138lb advanced to expert, aggressive all mountain ( steep groomers and ungroomed bumps and trees) east coast skier.
I demoed the 173 Brahmas (only size available to demo) and was really happy with them...but... This year we ONLY have groomed trail skiing due to no snowfall- so was unable to get into any trees or bumps- only hard pack and ice to try frown.gif
Soooo -I am torn as to go with the 173s or downsize to the 166s (as per the advice of the ski shop).
With my weight would I be happier on the 166s?
Worried with everyone saying they "ski short" - but this has been said by heavier guys than me... Hmmmm
What do you think?

Welcome to Epic. I'm your height and 12 pounds heavier. Except for a SL race ski, my shortest ski is 168 and it was virtually no rocker, a tiny bit of early rise. My current daily driver is a 177cm Nordica Soul Rider. I've skied the Brahma and it does ski short. At your stated ability I would go with the 173. You'll have more stability at speed than on the 166.

Definitely 173. It skis fairly true to length. I am 5 foot 9, 155, and am on the 180
