Atomic no longer will make bindings so

Thread Starter

It seems Atomic will not be making bindings And will no longer guarantee the bindings they have sold.

This is a problem for Pros, their Atomic skis will not now pass Ski/Binding Check.

Dirty trick Atomic.

Richard, you know that they're the same as the Salomon bindings, non?

Atomic bindings are rebadged Salomon bindings. Just like Rossi and Dynastar bindings are just rebadged Looks. I see no indication anywhere else that Salomon will stop Atomic badging their bindings. However, if they do, the current bindings on the market will still be indemnified through Salomon. Indemnity can easily be determined by a shop tech by looking up the equivalent Salomon binding to the Atomic one. For example, the Atomic STH2 WTR 16 will be indemnified the same as the Salomon STH2 WTR 16.

Where did you get this bogus information? The shop where I work is a Salomon and Atomic dealer. There is absolutely no word from Amer Sports that Atomic bindings will no longer exist. Rossi bindings are going away but that is it. And indemnification and warranty will not be a problem.

That is the one remaining question.

After years of ski brands rebadging bings  Head, Elan -->tyrolia,  atomic, rossi, Salomon??

Look, god knows how many here etc, it seems the market is getting it straight again.  It was all part of the system hype.

The REAL bindging companies  Marker, Tyrolia, Look, Salomon and now Knee, whatever happened to ESS?  did they become Atomic? will reassert their rightful names as god intended.

Yes,  ESS bindings became Atomic.

Knee? Reallly? No TUV label, no go.

Amersports, of Finland, owns Atomic and Salomon.

Groupe Rossignol owns Rossi, Dynastar, Look, Lange

Tecnica owns Nordica, Blizzard

Head owns Tyrolia

Newell Rubbermaid owns K2, Marker, Volkl, Dalbello

Expect more consolidation.  Tyrolia labels bindings for several makers...4front, Elan, others.  Ditto for Marker.  There might be a marketing reason for separately labeled Solly & Atomic bindings, but otherwise no need for different brands there.
