Please recommend a ski for me on my ski trip

I will be skiing at Breckinridge for the first week of March this year. I am 6' 2" and 175 without clothes and a level 7 or 8 skier. The snow this year looks average and based on previous years it is usually kind of icy and hard in the morning and slushy and choppy in the afternoon. Some days there is usually powder, but it is totally random for these ski trips. The last 10 years I have skied on the generic 75mm 168cm rental skis and boots (ripping turns down lake chutes and similar terrain on these , not ideal) and this year I finally am buying my own boots and renting demo skis. I like to ski everything from blue groomers to mogul runs to steep bowls, and would say I am relatively aggressive but not extreme. The options at the place I have reserved a rental at that are 80mm-100mm all mountain skis are the blizzard brahma, Rossi experience 88, Volkl kendo, blizzard bonafide, k2 pinnacle, and Rossi exp 100. I was wondering if I could get a ski and length reccomendation.
Thanks,
Nikkolas

I'd put you on a 177cm ski with upper 90's to low 100's waist.

All those high end are great, it comes to personal feel.

May be take a lesson on them.

Ok, thanks. Another ski I didnt add to the OP is the dynastar cham 2.0 97 and the volkl mantra. Now you guys see why I am asking, there are so many choices! smile.gif

I just got back from Aspen and skied all week on the Rossi Sin 7.  I'm an intermediate and loved those things.  First time on a rockered ski lots of fun all over the mountain.  Not a bad groomer cruiser either.  Too bad since they have the other Rossi's they don't have those.  I'm sure you'll enjoy any of the though.  My first renting Demos was a huge eye opener.

Im sure ill end up trying a couple different demo skis, but I think I am going to reserve a nordica enforcer for my first one. I can always try different skis during the week. I'm not sure if I should reserve 177 or 185 cm. I am 6' 2" and 175 pounds and an advanced skier.

185 sounds right for you.  I ski the 177 at 5'11" and 150 lbs.

Ok, thanks!

Brahma and Bonefide both come in 180 which should be about right - I very much doubt you'll want the 187 in those skis.  They'll already be a lot more ski compared to 168 rentals!
