Sierra Trading Post .com, they have their own wickers brand. The stuff is cheap and last for a long time. I ski average 65 day's a season. I have stuff I bought from them 10 plus years ago that still works great. I have stuff I bought 10 years ago that I haven't even opened the package yet. I bought 3 or 4 waffle zip turtle necks a number of years ago, $19.00 each, they still fit fine and keep me warm.
I wear the light weight base layers, then my 200wt fleece pant I bought from CampMor.com back about 1994 for $19.00 then TNF ski pants. On top, the light weight base layer, this weekend may be the mid weight base layer, a 100wt zip turtle neck or expidition wt turtle neck. My 200wt fleece and insulated ski jacket.
I have so many base layers form sierrattradingpost.com or campmor.com I can ski for two weeks and not wear the same base layer twice. I also have unopened wicking boxers from them.
Don't wear cotton anywhere.
Watch for the summer sales. sometimes the price drop to like $8.00.
You can also find base layers at Walmart in the Fall and Winter around the underwear. Same prices.
I have a 3 or 4 pair of Grandeo Hurricane gloves bought them in the summer 50% off. They are so warm I can't wear them unless in single digits or colder.
That should get you going.
My GF likes this stuff,
Look around the site. Lots of stuff.
