10 inches reported at 5am. That's on top of 14" on Sunday. Skied pow all morning long. The snow machine cranked up around 11am and coming down hard. Had to call it at around 2pm. Sheer Bliss lived up to it's name. Most of the extreme terrain being avy bombed. Slight wind affected but still a blast to ski .

Low crowds, and mostly empty runs. Love those Monday pow days. Hope the snow keeps on a dumping! smile.gif

Indeed!  Today was my first day of the season and my first run of the season was fresh tracks all the way down Bonzai Ridge and Bonzai.  I struggled a little being my first run of the season but boy was it fun.

This afternoon I hit High Alpine for knee deep crud and don't think I hit a single bump.  Good times and I'm off to Zanes for some happy hour action.

I'll be out there tomorrow.  I rented some crazy fat skis (Super7s) and am looking forward to all of this powder.

Resort reporting 11" in past 24 hrs. Temp was 9F in the morning. Nice dry and light powder. Snow showers off and on throughout the day. Hiked the ridge to Hangin Valley. Managed to find some waist deep face shots. They have had quite the snow accumulation the past 72 hrs - 35".

Found some nice deep turns in the Dikes too.

Supposed to stay cold the next few days, which will preserve the snow.

Another 10" reported last 24 hrs. Starting to lose track of how much snow has fallen the past 4 days. Just best to go out and ski it. Very cold today, -4F at summit. Went to one of the other Aspen-Snowmass mtns. Was surreal/magical. Wish I was still there, sigh....

Was a good few days in Aspen-Snowmass. Even the instructors were getting after it...

Of course I was getting after it too! :yahoo:

You are quite welcome.

You see, I am the bringer of the snow.

My preference is to ski groomers in the sunshine, but every time I book a trip to the west it dumps.  I arrived in Snowmass Saturday, Jan 31 about four hours after the storm started.  It snowed almost continuously from Saturday to Tuesday.  At forty inches, it was the biggest storm in almost a decade according to the locals.

This happens almost every time I ski in the west (last season being a notable example).

I'm going to start posting my itinerary from now on as a public service.
