Just got back from Alta, Utah and wanted to make a quick post.

We got 22" of snow between January 23 and 24th.  I skied on January 24 in powder for the first time.  I've only been skiing a couple years and normally ski on the east coast.  It was a LOT harder than I thought it would be.  I lost one of my poles within the first 15 minutes.

We stayed at the Iron Blossom, which was quite nice.  Very little, if any, night life.  But that was fine...we came to ski and be in huge snow.  We got what we came for.

It snowed quite a bit as we were leaving on Saturday, January 30th.

I can't wait to go back to Alta.  Here are a couple videos.

Here's my friend sliding all the way down Nina's Curve on his belly.
