Hello,

Does anybody know which ski brand is the logo depicted on the picture?

Thanks a lot.

In a thrift shop. The owner insisted it is a quality Austrian brand. I am just curious smile.gif

How much did you pay for this "quality Austrian brand?"

I didn't buy it biggrin.gif. Do you know the brand? I sincerely doubt it was worth the money.

You didn't take pictures of the whole ski? Was it wood? Metal edges? More info would at least narrow down the year of manufacture.

This is the only photo. Metal edges, plastic body.

It looks a little bit like the Atomic logo.

Any chance that Atomic modified the logo over the years and that's a very early one?

I looked at that, and even pretty old straight skis all seem to have the current logo.

I'd go here and look through all the old brands:  http://www.woodenskis.com/classic_brands.htm

To me, the symbol resembles the one Hagan skis used.  Hagan's were well made Austrian and Yugoslavian skis.

Good luck!

I looked through all of them already. Didn't see it.

That site has a HagEn in Norway, or there's this ski mountaineering company. But their current logo just looks like their name. Where was the logo you're referring to?

The logo was from my recollection.  I used to sell Hagan when I had a shop as my inexpensive package ski.  The top portion of what he posted is very similar to what was on the tip.  I didn't look through all brands on the link, but I thought it could help the OP.

Some Hagans might have been built to contract but there was also a Yugoslav manufacturer 'Jela' (fir) whose logo looked much like the Hagan one.     Not terribly like OP's logo though.
