Ski Sickness

Thread Starter

Hi everyone. I regretfully have had serious motion sickness issues all of my life. Passenger in a car, roller coasters etc.

I swear it's getting worse with age. Two March Breaks ago I even became motion sick while skiing. Since then, I've had

to take Gravol (Canadian equivalent to Dramamine) but it makes me incredibly drowsy.

Has anyone ever tried one of the patches that goes behind your ear??

Any other medications tried with success??

Thanks for your help.

Try ginger or some sort of ginger candy. Whole food or Sprout has ginger with lightly coated sugar and it helped me tremendously with car sickness. I can't really ride in the back of the car and always have to drive everywhere we travel by car. Once or twice that I had to ride the bus, I use ginger and helped alot.

This is like medical condition called Menhars (sorry for the spelling) I believe. See a Doctor about it is the best advice.

I think you mean Meniere's Disease.  My grandmother had this and they eventually operated and destroyed the hearing in her affected ear, which to her was a great improvement.  It can be very debilitating.
