Good evening all.

I am excited to announce the construction of The Bunkhouse, Vail Valley's first and only boutique hostel:

A 38 bed, boutique hostel nestled in the heart of Minturn, Colorado. The community bunk room is comprised of 30 custom hand crafted bunk beds, integrated with sound and vibration reduction materials. Each bunk has its own USB and power outlet for easy recharging of your personal devices.  When traveling with a small group, The Bunkhouse offers two - four person dorms available for semi-private or private booking.  Before you hit the mountain, feel free to cook your own food in the community kitchen or grab something from our complimentary continental breakfast including a hot cup of Loaded Joe's coffee.  For your convenience, we provide linens, Wi-Fi throughout the building, valet parking, and a shuttle service to the Vail and Beaver Creek Mountains all complimentary!  Don't forget to enjoy a Colorado craft beer or glass of wine on our mountain deck.  Warm yourself by the fire, use our outdoor grill, or simply lounge while reveling in our mountain air.

Our website will launch the second week in February.  Check out http://vailbunkhouse.com in a few weeks to see what we're all about.  We will open early spring.  Please like us on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/The-Bunkhouse-539966756158402/?ref=bookmarks

Prices will range from $39.99 to $79.99 per night.  We can't wait to see you all!

Cool.  Pauli told me you were getting this going I think you'll have a great success and in time your main problem will be how many people you have to turn away especially at weekends.

OMG, this is going to be such a nice upgrade over the Turntable where I spent two weeks last winter (not that I ain't grateful and enjoyed their breakfasts).  If you pull this off I will make it a personal mission to talk you up like crazy.  Best of luck and keep us apprised of your opening.

Never heard the term "boutique hostel" before, but it sounds like a pretty cool option. I'd check it out if I were planning a Vail trip. Ski hostels rock, and your layout sounds pretty sweet.

Revelstoke's Cube is similar...but they call it a boutique HOTEL for some reason....

Would any be willing to give feedback? What would you like to see with respect to this concept?

What can you live without?

How likely are you to stay?

Thanks!

I think it sounds great. I would stay when I ski Vail or BC.

Are you having a grand opening open house?
I would love to come by and see it when you open.

Good luck!

I"d be willing to give feedback after a stay.  I've stayed at the hostel over in Aspen and others around the state.  Some are dumpy and others are nice.   I'll need a place to stay for a spring PSIA clinic at Vail.

Does your complimentary shuttle accommodate skibikes?  I can't ski or snowboard anymore.  This is a must for me.  I can jam a skibike into the Vail town buses.

I'd like to see hot showers and a decent kitchen to cook in with plenty of cookware.

A heated pool would be nice but I can live without it.    An outside storage shed with locking racks inside it would be nice.

A heated place to wax skis would be nice.  Yeah, I know it can get messy.

I'm assuming there are separate bunk rooms for women and men.   I really do not want to deal with a bunch of snoring guys.

I'm pretty likely to stay esp. if The Roost or Evergreen Lodge is booked up in Vail,  I work at a non-VR so I don't have an Epic Pass.   I can skibike everywhere else in the state for free.
