260pounds/5'6" powder ski recommendations?

Not many guys with my dimensions out there on the slopes, and even fewer in the powder...

I'm an expert, just really out of shape after six years off the snow. Looking for powder ski recommendations. I know that my weight and desire to float lead to a wide underfoot (130+). But what about length, stiffness, camber, rocker? These were not terms people talked about twelve years ago when i was much more active in skiing. Now in Colorado so back into it. Thanks in advance!

I think your best bet will to be to demo stuff so you can find which shapes work for you, since there are so many choices. In general you will probably want to look at skis in the "big mountain charger" category that have metal or a stiff flex. At 240 they should flex fine for you without having to have to go to a 190+cm length.

Buy this in a 176 and you're good-

and thinking, 5'6" and missed the last six seasons + fitness constraints?  a 186 is going to be too much work for very little extra.

Agree with the Volkl Two

I ski the One and it is a great ski

I am 6'1"  220 lbs

Have no trouble with float on the One

Great deal too You will not regret one bit.

Fun ski.

I think he'd be underwhelmed with the 176's. The 186 is the right size for him, and the Two's are very easy to ski with the amount of rocker they have.

Most bigger guys I know love the Cochise from Blizzard!  Great ski if you can flex it: 177cm? It skis pretty long too. Out of the brands I sell, that is always the best bet for bigger guys

I recommend on3p billy goat, I love the ski! If budget is not a problem get this years 179cm, otherwise try to find some of last years 176cm on sale. I'd honestly try to get the 179. I'm 5'5" but I weight much less and I'm considering selling my 176 and buying the 179 if I can get some demo time to do a back to back comparison.

From blizzard I'd go bodacious, but again 176 might be a little too short for a ski of that size for you.

I also ski the cochise in 177 recommended above, it's not a powder ski like the others recommended but can work very well on packed powder and up to a few inches of snow, the new one 178 carbon tips floats better than the old shape, I love the cochise as well!
