None of the above.

Waste of time voting.  Probably based on advertising dollars spent in the 'USA' newspapers.

Near as I can tell, there's only 20 choices, and it's going to be reduced to 10. Leaves out most of the world. And yet somehow manages to include Bridger. Maybe there's another list of possible choices? I didn't find it.

Nope, no other list; if you go to the main article:

http://www.10best.com/awards/travel/best-ski-resort/

It explains that the panel chose the 20. The panel is made up of the experts who are bio'd at the bottom of the leaderboard. Abby Ghent, Elena Hight, Megan McJames and Caroline Gleich. The readers only get to choose from those 20 resorts picked by the panel. It also says N. America.

USA Today should, however, also explain the criteria they gave to the panel to select the 20 resorts; as it is, what are we supposed to think? Is this just the 20 places that these 4 racers think are the best places to: Ski? Relax? Enjoy off-mountain activities? On mountain dining? Nightlife? All of those? In what mix? It says 'resort' so its not wrong to expect that they are evaluating something other than just the skiing.

I suspect that many of the readers have not been to all 20 resorts, so, what, you just vote for the place(s) you know? Maybe the results can be interpreted as "best known ski resort amongst our readers out of the 20 chosen by our experts."

Perhaps I'm just bitter because I haven't been to ANY of these. Oh, wait, one. AHHHHAAA, I have been to one of the best, so shove it! This poll is accurate.

As of 10:27 AM MST, the article states that USA Today is searching for "North America's stop skiing and snowboarding resorts" Whatever the heck a "stop skiing and snowboarding resort" is. That doesn't really sound like much fun. "Hey! Stop that!"  I make horrible typos in my line of work all the time, it was just funny.

They weren't all racers, but they are all young females. So maybe best places to party if you're a young female? Hmmm. Seems like too many Utah locations for that. Best steeps? Maybe? Best random areas picked off a dart board?

You sure about that?😇

Maybe it's a list of places skiers would actually want to ski. Or maybe a list of places to ski besides Vail.

Lots of second tier resorts on that list. There are three mountains local to me that beat out at least half those on the list, one of them being the mountain that hosts the opening World Cup speed events every year.

My current favorite isn't even on the list.  I must be a gaper.
