 A lot of ski shops in small towns in the BC Interior have signs that say something close to: "If you have left your skis for an overnight tune and it snows 15cm (6") overnight, then pick up your skis between 7:00-7:30 am or come by at noon."

The appointment would have only gotten you a courtesy call to reschedule (or their Powder Clause is all wrong).
