Device binding was a retail binding.

You need to loosen the large screw in   the center once undone, you should be able to slide the toe and the heel out of the tracks and then access the screws that hold the track to the ski. I have a pair here let me go look to verify.

Yep, loosen the screw in the very center between the toe and heel. once loosened completely, lift up on the smoke color plastic piece to disengage the toe and heel bands from each other (the parts with the little teeth and adjustment range/BSL sizes). Slide the toe forward out of the track then slide the heel backwards out of the track, As you slide the heel lift up on the smoked colored plastic piece to allow the heel band to slide under the brake. Now all the track screws are accessible to remove the track.

Assuming it is a device 311 the above instructions for removal are correct Except that you have to remove the clearish shim under the toe piece first. You won't be able to get the toe off if the shim is in. To remove take a slot screwdriver and pop it up at the end near the tip.

If it's the demo, it's a whole different procedure.

Shim is red in below pic.

Atomicman

Bought Stokli AX and installed atomic inexpensive bindings, no track. Want to replace w track binding for more height and fore aft adjustability.

Am I crazy?

Dangerous to remove and replace if new holes needed???

Or should I use a plate?

Rather use a track for flex, height For torque on edge angulation....

I would not mount a 78mm without a plate and a track binding (freeflex)

What Atomic Binding are you thinking of?  You have to see how the mounting holes on any plate you decide on line up with the existing binding holes and you need to determine where the plate should be mounted. Then you may need a jig to drill the binding plate mounting holes in the correct place on the riser plate

Thanks for your input.

Really have enjoyed Marker MotionX's on my Blizzards.

Certainly not wedded to Atomic, it was just a "cheap out" when confronted by 300$ binding  options. Penny wise, pound foolish to be sure.

So phrased more to the point, if you just had a pair of these handed to you, what would you mount on them for primary use as carving, some all mtn use?

And what shop in Los Angeles would you recommend. Thanks again.
