Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has heard any predictions for the 2016 ski season in Australia, I heard it was going to be a la nina by then.

We've had all sorts of weather this spring and summer. Record warm September followed by a very cold October. A super mild December and a record breaking wet January. Not sure anyone's keen to make any predictions any more. [edit - and now, on 9 March, we're having a bit of an early autumn heat wave]

Me? I think South East Australia is generally free from drought, so there will be adequate precipitation of some sort. Whether it arrives as snow, a 'Wintery mix' (wet snow and rain) or just rain will depend on the temperature, and I haven't seen anyone make a call yet.

It's a bit too early for the usual season forecasts to arrive. They'll come along in mid-to-late April.
