ultraviolet light boot stink killer

Thread Starter

Anyone try this or a similar ultraviolet light boot de-stink microbe killer product?

For $50 it reads like a lot less pain than alternatives like taking the inner boots out periodically and washing etc or using boot driers religiously etc or regularly putting nasty masking chemicals into your boots after every day that of course will be contacting one's skin and accumulating and accumulating until the next real wash job.

Might just be me, but Costco up here in Canada had those Dry Guy/Maxx Dry boot dryers for less than $50.

Not all that difficult to stick the boots on the dryer and turn the knob on.

I don't even have to pull liners, just pop the boots on and bone dry in 1 or 2 cycles. (cycle is 90mins).  With 4 pegs you can do gloves and boots, 2 pairs of boots, etc.

Haven't had to "wash" any of our liners ever.  Pretty good considering we are on skis at a min. 4x/week.

Interesting, but I wouldn't risk my liners on a lot of UV exposure.  I mean, the lining of the liners wasn't really designed for resistance to UV degradation (although boot shells surely are).

Plus the fact the liner is porous enough that UV won't kill anything pass the surface.
