Sorry for this long story below but hopefully it helps give context. I'm in Lange RS 110s in 27.5. They've been a great boot for me because of the heel pocket. I've had some issues since buying them:
- The boot is a 2010-2011 model. I must have put at least 270 days in that time but possibly more.
- The 27.5 boot with the default liner packed out within 15 days and was skiing loose, yet I needed to have the toe blown out... I switched to an Intuition liner, had the toe pushed out a bit and it fits great. (Going on ~200 days on the Intuition liner)
- The boot feels too soft now. I'm a better skier skiing at higher speeds than when I bought it.
Ideally I'd get the RS130, but it's cost-prohibitive.
I see the 2014 Fischer Ranger Pro 13 might be a good match. It's a vacuum fit, with a narrow last. I'd like to pay a local shop to vacuum fit them and do the boot work.
Is this a comparable boot shape for a Lange foot or can it be vacuumed into the right shape? Would you recommend I get the 26.5 or the 27.5 based on my RS110 fit in a 27.5? I'm looking for a precision fit for racing and demonstrating precise movements for exams.
