Suggestions for instructor at Sun Peaks

I'm an intermediate travelling to Sun Peaks in about a month, looking for suggestions for instructors. My priority is finding someone with excellent communication skills and some patience.

AFAIK in order to pick an instructor you have to take a private lesson which is a lot more expensive than a group lesson.

I would recommend requesting Anne Terwiel who is a level 4 CSIA instructor. She is a ski tester for Ski Canada magazine and also has taught courses in the past at Thompson Rivers University in nearby Kamloops.

If she is not available then an excellent second choice would be Elia Ganderski. He is not quite as experienced as Anne but has an unequaled enthusiasm for skiing and teaching others to ski.

Thanks! It appears 2 hour group lesson is about the same $$ as a 1 hour private with a more advanced instructor. I feel it's probably a better value to get a private from a really skilled instructor than do a longer group lesson with a lower level instructor. Although there is usually some learning to be had by watching others in the group lesson. I'll probably do a group as well to see if there is value to be had.

My suggestion is to take the group lesson first and see how it goes.
