driving to Aspen from DIA

I normally fly into Aspen however this time I will be driving from DIA in April.   I was wondering what the drive time would be.  We would land on a Sunday at 7AM.  Staying in Snowmass at Capitol Peak Lodge for 4 nights, then 2 nights in Aspen at the Gant.

You could hit traffic heading up from Denver to ski Summit County, but in April not likely much of a factor.  So if no Denver skier traffic should be 4-4.5 hours.

Land at 7:00 AM, Get Baggage at 8:00, Get Rental Car at 10:00, Get to I70 at 10:30, Drive across Denver 11:30, stop for lunch, 12:30, Get back on the road at 2:00 PM.

You should be there in time for cocktails.

Yikes, better factor in another few hours for bathroom breaks and a few naps... DIA is slow but I've landed at dia at 7 and been skiing at loveland by 930. If you can have 1 person get the car while another gets the bags you can leave DIA in as little as an hour. Drive to time to aspen is 3.5 to 4 hours

Never tried  from the airport. I doubt it would be any faster during rush hour.

I haven't driven up prime time, on a Sat or Sun for years.

I did drive to the airport on Sunday 12/13/15 at 4pm and it wasn't much of an issue with the tolls waived.
