Noob Advice [in Vancouver]

Thread Starter

Long time snowboarder, feeling the itch to learn to ski.

Hopefully you guys can point me in the right direction.

Tree runs/powder hunting is where I have the most fun, small hits not in to park days.  I like the idea of twin tips for all around playfulness.

5'11 175lbs

I'm obviously just starting out but want to get a few seasons out of a set of ski's.

Any brand/type/size suggestions would be great!

Thanks

Sounds like you are out west, as opposed to in the northeast.  Right?

On the homepage of Ski Gear, there are links to a couple EpicSki Articles.  Read the one about boots first.  The title is "Ski Boots--The Most Important Piece of Gear You Will Own".
