I have never once stopped shopping because I would have to go to another line. I'd have to make another trip. That's totally nuts.
To me, all skiers are created equal (except for ski patrol and ski school) and they can get in any line they want, as long as they behave accordingly. A single skier doesn't have a special "status", they are just useful to fill in "holes" in the loading.

I thought you preferred to ski solo (at least sometimes)so you don't have to wait on others. Is that not a fair statement?
I ski solo because I can ski where and when I want to, at the speed I want to. Which includes not holding up others. It's not from a lack of sociability. Or much to do with the singles line. Because if I'm with someone and there is a line that is more than two minutes, we can ride up separately. Whether I'm skiing with someone or not. No biggy.
